I got this Blink camera a couple months back mostly to keep an eye on my backyard in San Diego where I like to grill and cook outside it's been decent but not perfect the video is sharp and I can check in from my phone no problem which is great when I'm inside or away the night vision works well so I don't miss anything after dark but the motion detection is a bit of a letdown it goes off for every little thing and to filter out false alarms you need to subscribe which I'm not super into compared to other options I've tried it's easier to set up but the extra costs add up over time overall it does the job but I expected more for the price it's okay not amazing
- Pros: The battery life is super impressive lasting a long time without needing changes and the video quality is clear both day and night making it easy to see details I like that it works with voice commands and the two way audio is handy for quick chats setup was pretty intuitive and it comes with everything needed to get started
- Cons: The motion alerts can be too sensitive picking up small things like leaves unless you pay extra for better detection which feels like a cash grab the reliance on a subscription for key features is annoying and it could be faster at sending notifications sometimes there's a delay which isn't ideal for security
