i had a problem with my old camera system, it was always running out of battery and missing important stuff, especially at night, and the false alarms from pets drove me nuts, so i was looking for something reliable and easy, this gai exce camera finally solved it, the solar keeps it going without any hassle, and the clear video means i can actually see what's happening, not just blurry shadows, compared to similar options, it's quite good for the price, but it's not perfect, the monitor is large, which might not suit everyone, and the app could be smoother, overall, it does what i need for keeping an eye on the house and family, most likely a solid choice if you want something wire-free and effective
- Pros: the solar power works great, no wires to deal with and it stays charged with just a bit of sun, the video is sharp day and night, and i can see everything clearly in color even when it's dark, the wide view covers all angles so no blind spots, and it only alerts me for people not animals which cuts down on false alarms, the two-way talk is handy for chatting or scaring off intruders without going outside, and the weatherproofing holds up well in rain or shine
- Cons: the monitor is a bit bulky and takes up space, and while the app works, it can be slow to connect sometimes, the initial setup was a bit fiddly compared to other brands i've tried, and the audio quality isn't perfect, sometimes echoes a bit
