i bought this on a whim, thinking it would be a game-changer for keeping pests out of our home, especially with a kid around. the expectation was high—i imagined getting alerts and having it all automated. but the reality is, it's just not effective. it looks sleek and all, but if it doesn't do the basic job, what's the point? the courier called ahead for delivery, which was nice, but that's about the only positive surprise. i'm fairly disappointed and might return it. could be wrong, but i'd say skip this one unless they improve it. :)
- Pros: the idea of controlling it from my phone seemed super convenient, and i liked that it works with my other smart home stuff. setting it up was fairly easy, just a few taps on the app, and the wireless design meant i could place it anywhere without dealing with cords.
- Cons: it didn't catch a single mouse after a couple of weeks, which was a big letdown. the app notifications were glitchy and didn't always alert me when something happened, making it feel unreliable. the remote felt unnecessary and just added clutter to my drawer.
