my first impression was quite positive—the courier called ahead for delivery, which was nice, and unboxing it felt like a step up from the usual snap traps. as a brand loyalist to Binchi Outdoor Equipment, i had high hopes, and overall, it does what it says: captures rodents humanely and without a mess. but against competitors, it falls short in reliability; i've had a couple of instances where it didn't trigger properly, leading to missed catches. it's a good product, but not perfect—i'd recommend it with some reservations, especially if you're dealing with persistent pests. for the price, it's a decent investment, but i might look for something more foolproof in the future.
- Pros: i liked that it catches mice without hurting them, which is a big plus for me since i prefer humane methods. the build feels really solid with the metal and net, so it can handle outdoor conditions well. setting it up is straightforward—just add some bait and it's ready to go. it's reusable, which is great for reducing waste compared to other traps i've tried.
- Cons: i was a bit disappointed that it didn't always work on the first try; sometimes the mice seemed to avoid it or escape, which was frustrating. the design, while sturdy, is a bit bulky and not the easiest to store when not in use. also, it requires checking frequently to release any caught mice, which can be a hassle if you're busy.
