I got this GoolRC doorbell a couple of months ago mainly to keep an eye on things with the family and it's been a solid addition to our home security setup as a dad I appreciate how it lets me check in from anywhere like when I'm at work or out with friends and the kids are home the video is clear enough that I can see details clearly and the motion alerts are quick though they did go off a few times for nothing big at first after tweaking the sensitivity it's been better it's held up through some rain and wind no problem and for the price it feels like a good deal it's not perfect but it does what I need without any fancy stuff I'd recommend it to others looking for a simple way to monitor their doorstep 👍
- Pros: The video quality is quite sharp and clear making it easy to see who's at the door from my phone even from far away I like that it connects to my home network without any fuss and alerts me quickly when there's movement outside it feels very sturdy and handles bad weather well which is great for peace of mind with the kids around
- Cons: From what I feel the alerts can be a bit too sensitive sometimes picking up small things like passing cars and it took me a while to get the settings just right to avoid that the installation was straightforward but I had to fiddle with the app a bit to make everything work smoothly
