When I first unboxed this after picking it up from the store, I was excited—it seemed like the perfect gift for my husband and me to handle our apartment's climate. But after using it for a couple of weeks, I'm feeling let down. It does the job, but not exceptionally well; the noise level is quite bothersome during sleep, and the performance is just average. I could be wrong, but for the cost, I expected something more efficient and quieter. It's functional, but I'm not thrilled with it. :)
- Pros: I quite liked how it could both cool and heat my small room, making it versatile for Seattle's unpredictable weather. The remote and easy controls were convenient, and rolling it around on wheels was a breeze. It was also nice that it came with all the parts needed for setup, and the filter being washable saved some hassle.
- Cons: I was disappointed by how loud it could get, even on the quietest setting—it was hard to ignore, especially at night. The cooling and heating didn't feel as powerful as I hoped for the room size, and it took a while to notice any real change in temperature. The drainage system was a bit messy to deal with, and overall, it didn't meet my expectations for the price.
