i bought this as a gift for myself, thinking it'd be a versatile solution for year-round comfort. living in victoria, bc, where the weather can be unpredictable, i wanted something that could handle both cool breezes and chilly nights. right out of the box, it looked sleek and modern, which i liked. setting it up was straightforward, and i started using it daily in my home office. the quick heat-up was impressive—it felt cozy almost immediately, and the quiet operation meant i could work or relax without distractions. my cat, who's usually skittish around new gadgets, didn't even notice it running, which was a big plus. however, after a couple of months, i began to see some flaws. on hotter days, the fan didn't provide as much airflow as i hoped, and in winter, the heater struggled a bit when temperatures dropped below what's typical here. compared to other options i've seen, it didn't perform as well, and i found myself adjusting it more often than i'd like. the remote was convenient, but the display issue made it annoying to check settings from afar. overall, it's decent for small spaces and pet owners, but it didn't fully meet my expectations for reliability and power. i'd recommend it with caution, especially if you need something more robust.
