Home Of Auto Parts Night Vision Dash Cam: 170-degree wide-angle view

Night Vision Dash Cam — Dashboard Cameras, Home Of Auto Parts

Ever driven home at night and wished you had a pair of eyes that could see in the dark? Well, our Night Vision Dash Cam is pretty much that—minus the creepy factor. It’s got your back (or rather, your front) with crystal-clear recording, no matter if it’s high noon or midnight. And with that 170-degree wide-angle lens, it’s like having a panoramic view of the road; nothing sneaks by unnoticed. Oh, and about storage? The loop recording feature’s got it covered, smartly overwriting the old stuff so you’re never left hanging. Hit a pothole or, heaven forbid, something worse? The G-sensor jumps into action, locking down that footage faster than you can say ‘What was that?’. And let’s not forget the night vision capability—because seeing is believing, especially when it’s pitch black outside. Plus, setting it up is a breeze (seriously, if you can plug in a phone charger, you’re golden). Basically, it’s the co-pilot your car didn’t know it needed.

  • Night vision capability
  • Loop recording
  • G-sensor for impact detection
  • Easy installation
  • 170-degree wide-angle view

Decision:

As a healthcare worker in Miami, I rely on my car for late-night drives home, and I was excited to get this dash cam from Home Of Auto Parts, a brand I usually trust. After using it for a couple of weeks, I'm disappointed. The wide-angle lens is nice for catching a broad perspective, but the night vision capability just doesn't cut it—it's like trying to see through fog when I need clarity the most. The automatic locking feature works when there's a jolt, but it's not foolproof, and I've missed some footage I wanted to keep because it got overwritten too quickly. It's ironic how something meant to be my co-pilot ends up feeling more like a backseat driver that doesn't pull its weight. For the price, I expected better, especially from a brand I'm loyal to. It doesn't get in the way, but it's not the reliable eye I hoped for on those dark roads.

  • Pros: The setup was extremely easy, just plugging it in like a phone charger, which was a relief after a long shift. I liked that it captures a wide view of the road, making it hard for things to sneak by, and the automatic saving of footage when something bumps the car is handy.
  • Cons: The night vision seems poor; in Miami's dark streets, it doesn't deliver the clear view promised, often leaving things blurry. The storage management overwrites old clips too aggressively, making it tricky to find important moments later. Overall, it feels unreliable for critical situations.
