I bought this Olafus camera hoping for a reliable outdoor security solution, and while it has its moments, it falls short in some areas. The floodlights are powerful and do a good job illuminating the space, but the motion sensor is too eager, flashing at every little thing—fairly disruptive when I'm trying to sleep. The ability to pan and tilt remotely is handy, but it doesn't always respond smoothly, and I've found the video quality to be just okay, not as sharp as I'd expect. On the plus side, it works with voice commands through my smart home setup, which is convenient, and the weather resistance has held up through some rainy Edinburgh days. However, the two-way audio is a bit muffled, making it hard to have clear conversations, and I wish there were more storage options without pushing for paid plans. Overall, it's a mixed bag; it does the job but isn't the standout I was hoping for versus other models I've tried.
- Pros: At long last, a security camera that integrates lights fairly well; the brightness is impressive and covers a wide area, making my garden feel safer.
