Decision:

as an entrepreneur with a young child, i wanted something to help me feel safer at home without breaking the bank. i picked this up from the store for convenience, and overall, it does the job okay. the video quality is good, and i appreciate being able to communicate through it, but the connectivity issues and short battery life are drawbacks. a tip i have is to place it where your home network is strongest to minimize drops. it's not perfect, but for the price, it's a functional option if you're on a budget and need basic monitoring. i'd say it's a middle-of-the-road choice—does some things well but has its flaws.

• Pros: i liked that the video was incredibly clear and sharp, making it easy to see details like what someone is holding. the ability to talk to people at the door from my phone is super helpful, especially for handling deliveries or scaring off unwanted visitors. for the price, it's a decent way to keep an eye on things without a lot of hassle, and the wide view captures a good amount of the area around my door.
• Cons: from what i feel, the connection can be a bit unreliable at times, dropping out when i need it most, which is frustrating. the battery life isn't great and requires frequent charging, making it less convenient than i hoped. also, the setup was a bit tricky for a beginner like me, and it doesn't always pick up motion as well as i'd like, missing some events.
