When I first got this, I was pretty skeptical about how well it would perform, given my past experiences with similar products. The packaging was intact, and unboxing it felt straightforward. I liked that I didn't need to fuss with wires much, and connecting it to my home network was a breeze. It's saved my bacon a few times already by alerting me to movement outside when I wasn't home. The video is crisp, and I can zoom in to see details clearly, which is great for peace of mind. However, the one-way audio is a letdown; I wish I could listen in on what's happening, not just talk. The app works fine on my devices, but it's not the most intuitive, and I had to spend some time figuring out all the settings. Overall, it's a solid system that does what it promises, but it's not perfect. I'd recommend it with some reservations :)
- Pros: The video quality is extremely sharp and clear, making it easy to see details even from a distance. I appreciate that it works well in low light, allowing me to monitor things at night without issues. The setup was straightforward, and I can access the feed from my phone no matter where I am, which is very convenient. The storage is ample, so I don't have to worry about running out of space quickly.
- Cons: From what I feel, the audio feature is limited since I can only speak through it and not hear anything back, which is a bit frustrating. The motion alerts can be overly sensitive at times, picking up things like moving branches and causing unnecessary notifications. The reliance on a strong internet connection means it can lag or drop out if my network isn't perfect.
