as someone with a technical background, i was skeptical but bought this on a whim. it's okay for basic security, but don't expect miracles. a tip: place the sensors away from the kitchen to reduce false triggers. overall, it could be better, but it does the job fairly well for now. i might be wrong, but i'd say it's a middle-of-the-road option.
- Pros: the alerts come through reliably on my phone, which saved my day when there was a small gas issue. setting it up was fairly straightforward with no wires to mess with, and the sos button gives a quick way to call for help if needed.
- Cons: the sensors sometimes pick up false alarms, like from cooking fumes, which can be annoying. the connection isn't always stable, and i wish it had better range for larger homes. it feels a bit basic for the price, lacking some advanced features i expected.
