As someone with multiple degrees and a background in logistics, I did my research before buying this, picking it up from the store for convenience. Compared to competitors, it falls short in reliability. I expected more for the price, given my high income and interest in DIY. After using it for a couple of months, I find it just okay—not terrible, but not great either. It does the basic job, but I'm unhappy with the limitations, especially the WiFi issue. I wouldn't strongly recommend it to others unless they're on a tight budget.
- Pros: The installation was extremely simple, just peel and stick with no tools needed, which I appreciate. Being able to control it from my phone from anywhere is convenient, and it works with voice commands through my smart home devices. It's expandable, so I can add more sensors if needed, and there are no ongoing fees, which is a relief.
- Cons: From what I feel, it only connects to slower WiFi networks, not the faster ones, which is a letdown. The alerts can be delayed sometimes, and the build quality doesn't punch above its weight—it feels a bit cheap. I'm disappointed that it doesn't integrate well with other systems I have, making it less useful than I hoped.
