The problem was our old doorbell didn't have any smart features, so we often missed people or couldn't see who was there. The takeaway is it's a decent upgrade for basic monitoring, but it's not flawless and might need additional purchases for full functionality. I'd say it's okay for the price, but not amazing :)
- Pros: The video quality is quite good both day and night, making it easy to see who's at the door. I liked that it works with my existing wiring and the battery lasts a long time without needing frequent charges. Setting it up was straightforward and it worked right away, which was a relief. The two-way audio lets me talk to visitors from my phone, and the motion alerts keep me informed instantly.
- Cons: From what I feel, the free cloud storage trial is limited, and after that, it might cost extra. The app can be a bit glitchy sometimes, and I had to buy an extra device to get the most out of the battery life. It doesn't always pick up motion perfectly, missing some smaller animals like my cat, which is a bit disappointing.
