Phoenix, AZ

As a healthcare worker in Phoenix, I bought this on a whim after seeing an ad, thinking it would help me keep an eye on my front door since I'm often busy. I've had it for a couple of months now, and while it does its job, I'm a bit skeptical. The video quality is decent, but I expected better for the price. The two-way audio works, but sometimes there's a delay, which is ironic when you're trying to scare off a solicitor. I hooked it up without wiring, and it's fine, but I miss having a proper chime without buying extra gadgets. The free trial for cloud storage was nice, but now I have to decide if I want to pay or fiddle with local storage, which feels like a sneaky upsell. It integrates with my voice assistant, which is a plus, but not a game-changer. Overall, it's okay, but not the lifesaver I hoped forβprobably should have thought twice before impulsively grabbing it.
- Pros: The battery life is very impressive, lasting a long time without needing a charge, which is great for someone like me who forgets things easily. I liked that I could see who's at the door clearly during the day and even at night, and talking through it from my phone was handy. Setting it up was simple, and I appreciate not having to deal with wires if I don't want to.
- Cons: Most likely, the alerts can be too sensitive, picking up every little movement like a stray cat, which gets annoying fast. Without paying extra, saving videos is a hassle, and I had to buy a separate device for that. It doesn't always connect well to my home's existing chime, and the app can be glitchy at times, making it not on the first try reliable.
