as a budget-conscious dad who does a lot of repairs, i picked this up hoping it would be a solid tool. from what i feel, it does the job for basic tracing, but it's not without flaws. it's very lightweight, which is nice for portability, but it also means it doesn't feel as sturdy as some stands in the same range. the light is indeed bright, but it lacks finer control, so i find myself squinting sometimes. compared to other options, it's okay, but i've had better experiences with more robust models. overall, it's functional but not exceptional, and i'm a bit disappointed given the hype.
- Pros: it's very thin and light, so easy to carry around, which is great for my diy projects. the light is super bright, almost like a small sun on my desk, and the touch button lock helps avoid accidental changes when i'm focused on work.
- Cons: for the price, i expected more durability; it feels a bit flimsy and might not hold up with my kids around. the brightness, while strong, can be a bit harsh on the eyes after a while, and the dimming options are limited, making it less versatile than others i've seen.
