i bought this because the air in my chicago home gets super dry in the winter and it was causing sinus issues for me and my family the problem was waking up with a scratchy throat and dry skin so i needed a solution that could handle a decent sized room without constant maintenance this humidifier does a good job at adding moisture and the large tank means i only fill it every few days which is a big plus the even mist distribution helps cover the room well and i appreciate the no filter design for easy cleaning however it's not without flaws the mood light is more of a novelty and the remote just adds clutter the humidity settings are a bit finicky and i've had to tweak them often to get it right overall it works but could be better for the cost i'd say it's a decent budget option but not perfect if you're looking for something more reliable
- Pros: the large tank lasts a long time without needing a refill which is super convenient for my busy schedule and the top fill makes it easy to add water without any mess the wheels are a nice touch for moving it around the house and the quiet operation means it doesn't disturb sleep or daily activities the safety features like auto shut off give me peace of mind especially with a kid around
- Cons: the mood light is a bit gimmicky and not very useful for me and the remote feels unnecessary since i usually adjust things manually the humidity control could be more precise as it sometimes overshoots or undershoots the desired level and while it's mostly quiet there's a faint hum that can be noticeable in very silent rooms the build quality feels a bit plasticky and not as durable as i'd expect for the price
