Decision:

As a budget-conscious mom in San Jose, I was hoping this would be a game-changer for home security, but it fell a bit short. Compared to other options I've seen, it's decent for the price, but not perfect. A tip I'd share is to adjust the sensitivity settings right away to cut down on false alerts—it saved me some frustration. Overall, it does the job, but I've had moments where I missed important things because of the delays. It seemed to me like a middle-of-the-road choice; it gets the basics done but don't expect anything super fancy. I might look for something more reliable in the future if I can save up a bit more.

  • Pros: I liked that I could see who was at the door from my phone without having to be there, which is super handy with my busy schedule and kids running around. The ability to talk to people through it was a nice touch, and it worked well for telling delivery folks where to leave packages. At night, it still showed things clearly, which made me feel a bit safer.
  • Cons: The alerts for movement were often too sensitive, picking up things like leaves blowing or my own kids playing, which got annoying fast. Setting it up on my home network was a bit tricky and took some time, and sometimes the video feed would lag or drop out, making it unreliable when I really needed it.
