so I got this Pento Smart doorbell a while back and been using it for over six months now as it seemed to me it does the job but not perfect you know I'm a designer so I notice details first off the video quality is super good I can see everything clearly day or night which is nice for keeping an eye on the kids playing outside the two way audio lets me chat with visitors without opening the door and I like that it's wireless no messy installation BUT the motion sensor oh boy it goes off for every little thing like a cat or just the wind which gets annoying fast and the batteries they drain quicker than I thought I have to swap them out every few weeks which is a hassle for an old guy like me plus the app it works but it's not super intuitive had to ask my grandkid for help a few times overall it's an acquired taste I guess it does what it says but with some flaws would I recommend it well yes if you're on a budget and don't mind the quirks but it could be better
- Pros: the video is super clear even at night which is great for seeing who is there the sound works well for talking to people and it was easy to set up with no wires just batteries and it fits into my smart home setup without any trouble
- Cons: the motion sensor sometimes picks up things it shouldn't like leaves blowing by and the battery doesn't last as long as I hoped it would need to change it more often than expected and the app can be a bit confusing for someone like me not too techy
