Before this, I was using a regular trash can with a lid I had to push open—always ended up with sticky hands after cooking, and it just felt gross. Now, with this thing, it's like having a little helper in the kitchen. No more fumbling or spreading germs, which is a big win for keeping things hygienic. I got it on sale, so it felt like a decent deal, but I wish the build quality was a bit sturdier. For now, it's doing the job, and I'm mostly happy with it, though I might look for something more durable down the line. :)
- Pros: I love that it opens without me having to touch it—keeps things super clean, especially with messy kitchen scraps. The sensor picks up my hand from a good distance, so it's always ready when I need it. Being battery-powered means I can stick it anywhere without worrying about an outlet, which is perfect for my small kitchen.
- Cons: The batteries don't last as long as I'd hoped, and I've had to replace them a couple of times already. Sometimes the lid is a bit slow to respond, which can be annoying when I'm in a hurry. It feels a bit flimsy for the price, and I'm not sure how it'll hold up over time.
