From what I feel, I bought these to solve the problem of poor outdoor lighting in my yard, especially for capturing good photos and videos in the evenings. The solution was appealing with the app control and solar aspect, but the setup was not as seamless as I hoped due to the hub requirement and long initial charge. My takeaway is that while they work decently for basic lighting and add some fun with color changes, they fall short for professional use or quick responsiveness. Delivery was quick, but overall, I expected more for the price given my deal-hunting nature.
- Pros: The lights are incredibly easy to control through the app, allowing me to adjust colors and brightness without any hassle. I appreciate that they can be grouped for a consistent look across my garden, and the solar power means no extra electricity costs. They are weather-resistant and have held up well in various conditions.
- Cons: I am not convinced about the need for an additional hub to use with voice assistants, which feels like an extra expense.
