XiaoR GEEK XR TH 2560 Smart Robot Car Kit with Robotic Arm HD Camera: Programmable with Arduino Mega 2560
Meet the Smart Robot Car Kit—your new favorite toy (or serious project, no judgment here). Built around the Arduino Mega 2560, this bad boy is perfect whether you're just dipping your toes into robotics or you're a seasoned pro looking for your next challenge. It's got a 1080P HD camera that doesn't just sit there; it moves with 2 degrees of freedom (2DOF) pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ), and a 4DOF robotic arm that's basically like having an extra hand, minus the need to feed it.
But wait, there's more! With ultrasonic and infrared sensors, this kit isn't just smart—it's practically psychic. Avoid obstacles, follow lines, or chase objects (not the cat, please). And when it comes to programming, you've got options: XR Block (Scratch 3.0) for the visual learners and Arduino IDE for those who like to get their hands dirty with code. Plus, the all-metal tank chassis means it's tough enough to handle whatever you—or your kids—throw at it, on almost any surface.
And because we live in the future, you can control it via WiFi from your phone, tablet, or PC, complete with real-time video so you can spy on... I mean, observe from afar. Powered by a 12V 2200mAh Li-ion battery, it's ready to go out of the box, but with open-source code, the only limit is your imagination (and maybe your WiFi signal).

as a student on a budget, i was hunting for a deal and thought this would be a cool way to dive into robotics, but man, it's been a mixed bag. the camera and arm are fun when they work, but i spent hours just getting the basic movements sorted—seems like it needs a lot of patience. tips: definitely start with the visual programming if you're new, and maybe have some spare parts handy for adjustments. overall, it's a decent kit for tinkering, but don't expect it to be perfect right away. :)
- Pros: the build quality is super solid with that all-metal chassis, and it handles all sorts of surfaces without a hitch. i liked that the camera moves around smoothly and captures really clear video, making it fun for messing around with photos and videos. controlling it from my phone over wifi is a neat trick, and the battery lasts a decent while for a project like this.
- Cons: i expected more from the sensors—they seem a bit hit or miss with avoiding stuff, and the arm movements can be clunky at times. the setup was a headache, with some parts not fitting right out of the box, and the open-source code needs a lot of tweaking to get things working smoothly. for the price, it feels like it should be more polished.
