as a stay at home dad in montreal i bought this lamp hoping to jazz up our living space for family photos and videos it does the job mostly the colors are vibrant and it dims well but i'm skeptical about its long term reliability it works with alexa and others but sometimes lags which annoys me for a high income household i expected better it's not a total bust but i wouldn't call it genius just decent if you're a deal hunter like me maybe wait for a sale it's functional but has its quirks
- Pros: it connects to my home network easily so i can control it with voice assistants without lifting a finger which is super convenient the range of colors is vast and it dims smoothly to set any mood i like that it fits in standard sockets and handles different power inputs no problem making it a real workhorse for lighting
- Cons: from what i feel the setup was a bit finicky at first and it doesn't always respond instantly to commands which can be frustrating for a smart device also the build feels a bit cheap for the price and i wish it had more customization options without needing apps
