I had this problem where I kept locking myself out because I'd forget my keys especially after a long day teaching. The solution was getting this lock from Aqara. Now I just tap my phone to get in no keys needed and I can manage everything from an app. It's made my life so much easier no more stress about lost keys or waking anyone up late at night. The takeaway is it's a solid upgrade for security and convenience though it took some getting used to and the cost might be a hurdle for some. Overall it does what it promises and integrates well with my other smart stuff.
- Pros: The lock works great with my phone and watch even when they have no power which is a lifesaver. I can easily give temporary access to guests or delivery people without handing out keys. It automatically locks the door when I leave so I never forget and it pairs well with other smart devices making my home feel more connected. The battery lasts a long time and it's built strong to handle the Texas heat and rain.
- Cons: Setting it up was a bit tricky for someone not too techy and it seems too reliant on specific apps which might not suit everyone. The price was a bit high for my budget but I waited for a sale. Sometimes the automatic features feel too sensitive and I wish it had more customization options without needing extra gadgets.
