VantaGoods 2024 Smart Bionic Robot Dog: Programmable

Smart Bionic Robot Dog — Interactive Figures & Robots, VantaGoods

Meet the Smart Bionic Robot Dog—your kid's next best friend (that doesn't need walks or belly rubs). This isn't just any toy; it's a leap into the future of play, blending fun with a sneak peek into coding and robotics. Watch as it struts, dances, or maybe even tries to fetch (programming required), all thanks to its four-legged agility. And yes, it comes with a remote, because what's cooler than controlling a robot dog from your couch?

But wait, there's more (no, not a set of knives). This tech-savvy pup is built to last, surviving the tumble and chaos of playtime. It's not just about moving around; it's about sparking curiosity. From remote-controlled adventures to coding their first 'sit' command, kids get a hands-on lesson in technology without even realizing they're learning. Here’s the lowdown:

  • Take the reins with remote control—because every kid dreams of being a robot whisperer.
  • Dive into programming (simplified, of course) to teach your digital dog new tricks.
  • Built like a tank but cute as a button, ready for whatever playtime throws its way.
  • It walks! It interacts! It’s basically the pet you never have to feed.
  • Remote controlled
  • Walking toy
  • Four-legged design
  • For children
  • Programmable

Decision:

i was a bit skeptical at first, expecting just another toy that breaks easily, but the reality is it's held up great over the couple of weeks we've had it. my kid loves making it dance and walk around, and it's sparked a real interest in how things work. picked it up from the store, which was convenient, and as a brand loyalist, vantaGoods didn't disappoint. it's a cool way to mix play with a bit of education, and even though i'm not super techy, i could help with the basics. overall, it's a hit in our house :)

  • Pros: super fun for the kids, it moves around really well and feels sturdy enough to handle rough play. i liked that it comes with a way to control it from a distance, and the option to teach it new things through simple coding kept my child engaged and learning without it feeling like a chore.
  • Cons: could be wrong, but it might not be for everyone since you have to put in some effort to program it, and it's not a real pet so no cuddles or feeding, which some kids might miss. also, the initial setup took a bit of time to figure out.
