Meet the eufy Security Camera Floodlight Camera E340 – your new outdoor watchdog that doesn't just bark but also lights up the whole yard (and maybe even the neighbor's). It's got 24/7 recording on lock, thanks to local storage, so even if you blink, it won't. Ever. And with its 360° PTZ camera, it's like having eyes in the back of its head – if it had one. The AI detection is smart enough to tell a person from a pesky raccoon, and those dual cameras? They give you both the big picture and the close-up deets with 8× hybrid zoom and crisp 3K resolution.

But wait, there's more (because why stop at just watching?). It throws in a 2,000-lumen floodlight that you can dial up or down, because sometimes you just need a spotlight, not a sun. And if that's not enough to scare off intruders, the 95dB alarm will definitely do the trick – it's like a car alarm for your backyard. Plus, it's got motion-activated illumination, so it only lights up when it needs to, saving energy and your sanity. With dual-band Wi-Fi 6, it stays connected faster than you can say 'buffering,' and it's tough enough to handle whatever Mother Nature throws at it (weatherproof IP65, in case you were wondering). Plays nice with HomeBase 3, Google Assistant, and Amazon Alexa, because who doesn't love a gadget that listens?

Decision:

I bought this as a gift for my family to keep an eye on our yard, and after using it for a couple of weeks, it's mostly solid. Delivery was delayed a day, but that was fine. The video quality is impressive, with sharp images day and night, and I appreciate how it distinguishes between people and animals, reducing false alerts. The floodlight is powerful and motion-activated, which is great for security without wasting electricity. However, the setup process was a headache because the instructions were unclear—I had to figure it out myself, which took extra time. As someone into automotive tech, I expected a smoother experience. It integrates well with our smart home devices, but I've noticed it sometimes lags in sending alerts. Overall, it does its job well, but there's room for improvement in user-friendliness.

  • Pros: The camera captures everything clearly with a wide view and can zoom in for details, making it easy to see what's happening outside. The light is very bright and only turns on when needed, which saves energy. It connects to my home network reliably and works with voice assistants, adding convenience. The alarm is loud and effective at deterring unwanted visitors.
  • Cons: The manual is useless, making setup a bit frustrating. The light and alarm can be too intense at times, possibly disturbing neighbors. It seems to have occasional delays in notifications, and the storage setup could be simpler for someone not tech-savvy.
