So why did I get this bulb? As a designer and life-hacker I'm always looking for game changers in home decor but this one left me disappointed. It seemed like a cool idea blending retro style with modern tech but in practice it fell short. The touch dimming is finicky and the light isn't powerful enough for my needs. I tried using it on my desk for some ambiance but it just didn't cut it. On the plus side it's super versatile with USB power and looks pretty cute but for the price I expected more. Would I recommend it? Only if you're okay with compromises. It's not a total waste but definitely not perfect. As it seemed to me it's more for show than function :)
- Pros: I liked the vintage look it has that old-school charm and the touch control is extremely easy to use just a tap to adjust the light no switches needed it works with any USB power source which is great for my DIY projects and its energy efficient saving me money on electricity
- Cons: The build quality seemed a bit flimsy to me and it didn't dim as smoothly as I expected sometimes it flickers at low brightness which is annoying for a perfectionist like me and the light output isn't very bright even at max so not ideal for reading or detailed work
