before i got this lamp, my desk was always dim, and i had to fiddle with old lamps that had annoying switches. now, it's way better—i can quickly change the brightness and color to match what i'm doing, like reading or listening to music. but honestly, i'm a bit disappointed because it doesn't feel as sturdy as i hoped, and the light quality isn't perfect for long hours. it does the job, but i expected more for the price. overall, it's an improvement, but not extremely impressive.
