i bought this hoping it would be just what i needed for our hallway, especially with my husband and me coming home late from concerts sometimes. but honestly, it's been a letdown. the first night, it worked fine, but after a week, it started acting up. i'd walk by and nothing would happen, or it would flicker. it's too dim to really help in a bigger area like our kitchen, and i find myself still using a flashlight. for the price, i expected better performance. it could be wrong, but i think the sensor might be too sensitive to changes in light or something. not terrible, but definitely not great either. i wouldn't buy it again or recommend it to friends.
- Pros: it's nice that it turns on and off by itself when it gets dark or light, so i don't have to fiddle with switches. the light is soft and not too bright, which is good for not waking anyone up at night. it was easy to plug into the wall, and it doesn't stick out much, so it blends in okay.
- Cons: the sensor isn't very reliable; sometimes it doesn't turn on when it should, leaving me in the dark, and other times it stays on too long. the light is a bit too dim for my liking, making it hard to see clearly in larger spaces. it feels a bit cheaply made, and i'm not sure how long it will last.
