Foride Roamer 1 Electric Bike: 36V 13Ah removable battery
If you're after a ride that's as smooth as your morning coffee but packs enough punch to tackle hills like they're nothing, the Electric Bike is your new best friend. It's got a 36V 13Ah removable battery that laughs in the face of distance, offering a 100km range on a single charge—because who has time to stop and recharge? Plus, its 250W motor and 50Nm torque mean it's not just about getting there; it's about getting there with style, even if 'there' is up a mountain with a week's groceries.
But wait, there's more (because of course there is):
- Ever wished your bike could read your mind? The 12-magnet Cadence Sensor with 5-speed Power Assist comes pretty close, adjusting to your pedaling like it's got a sixth sense.
- With the Shimano 7-speed Shifting System, you've got more gears than a Swiss Army knife, ready for whatever the road throws at you.
- That lockable front suspension system isn't just for show—it gives you 80mm of travel to soak up bumps like a sponge, making comfort its middle name.
- And when you need to stop, the Efficient Disc Brakes are there to bring you to a halt without drama, because stopping should be as smooth as starting.
- Last but not least, the Front & Rear Lights ensure you're seen when the sun clocks out, because night rides should be about adventure, not invisibility.

As a brand loyalist, I expected more from Foride based on past experiences. Why did I buy this? Well, I wanted an electric bike for my daily trips around Calgary, hoping it would make life easier. How does it perform? It's okay—gets me from point A to B without much fuss, but it's not as effortless as I imagined. The delivery was handled well; the courier called ahead, which was a nice touch. Overall, it's functional but lacks the wow factor I was hoping for, so I might stick with other brands in the future.
- Pros: The ride is fairly smooth and comfortable, handling bumps well with its suspension, and it feels sturdy for daily use. I liked that the battery lasts a long time on a single charge, making it convenient for my commute without frequent stops.
- Cons: It seemed a bit heavy and cumbersome to handle at times, and the power assist didn't always respond as quickly as I hoped, which was disappointing on steeper hills. The lights could be brighter for better visibility in low light.
