as a builder, i was skeptical at first—i expected this to be just another gadget that overpromises, but the reality is it does most of what it says pretty well. i set it up for my stairs at home, and my kids love how they can control the lights from their devices, though i had to tweak the placement for better range. the automatic dimming works, but it's not perfect; it could be a bit more responsive. overall, it's a solid device that makes life easier, and any issues seem fixable with minor adjustments. for the price, it's a good value, and i'd recommend it with some caveats. :)
