so my partner got this as a gift from me and he's been using it for a few weeks now i asked him how it's going and he said it's mostly good but has some issues he likes that he can set a timer so the door opens and closes automatically and he doesn't have to worry about it at dawn or dusk the camera is clear and he can watch the chickens from his phone which he finds fun especially when he's away but he mentioned that the safety feature to stop the door from hurting the chickens works well which is important to us however he said the remote control doesn't always respond quickly and sometimes the app disconnects which is frustrating from what i feel it's a helpful device but not perfect i'd recommend it with some patience for setup and occasional hiccups
- Pros: i like that it opens and closes on its own so i don't have to wake up early for the chickens it was a gift for my partner who loves his birds and he says it works well from what i feel the camera lets me see inside the coop even at night which is very handy and i can control it from my phone when i'm out cycling or just relaxing
- Cons: from what i feel it was a beast to set up at first and the instructions weren't very clear for someone like me who's not good with tech stuff also the solar part doesn't always charge the battery enough on cloudy days so i have to plug it in sometimes which is a bit disappointing compared to what i used before which was just a manual door
