XF Z-1Mini 4K Full-Color Night Vision Camera with Gimbal Pod: 4K Resolution with AI-Enhanced Full-Color Night Vision
Meet the XF Z-1Mini – not your average night vision camera. This little powerhouse packs a 4K full-color punch and comes with a 3-axis stabilized gimbal pod that’s all about keeping things smooth, no matter how wild the ride gets. Whether it’s drones doing loop-de-loops or robots on a mission, its AI multi-object detection and tracking have got your back, keeping an eye on what matters most.
So, what makes it stand out? Let’s dive in:
- First off, it sees in the dark like a pro, thanks to AI-ISP full-color night vision. (No night is too dark for this gadget.)
- Then there’s the gimbal – a featherlight 69g marvel that’s all about keeping your footage steady. Because nobody likes shaky videos, right?
- Control freaks, rejoice! You’ve got options: network, UART, and S.BUS. Pick your poison.
- It plays nice with Dragonfly and QGC software, giving you real-time control and video feed without breaking a sweat.
- And for the cherry on top, it throws in OSD overlays for geolocation data and EXIF image coordinates. Because knowing where and when is half the battle.

as an engineer i did a lot of research before buying this and it's quite impressive for my needs i use it with my drones and robots and the video quality is top-notch even in low light the software integration is smooth but it took me a bit to figure out the best way to connect it for real-time feeds i've picked up a hack to adjust the settings gradually for better performance over time overall it's a solid tool that does what it promises though not perfect
- Pros: the night vision is amazing it sees in color even when it's pitch black which saved my day during some late-night projects the gimbal keeps everything super smooth no shakes at all and the tracking works great for following moving stuff like my kids playing outside
- Cons: it's a bit pricey for what it does and the controls can be tricky to set up at first especially with the different connection options from what i feel it could be lighter and more compact for easier mounting on smaller devices
