as a sales manager who's into tech and always looking for reliable solutions, i chose this Annke system because i'm loyal to the brand and needed something for home security, especially with a kid and pets around. after using it for a couple of weeks, i can say it's been mostly great. the packaging was intact when it arrived, which was a good start. i installed it myself—it's expandable, so i started with a few cameras and plan to add more. the video is very clear, even at night, and i love that i can check in from anywhere. but yeah, it's not flawless; the wireless hiccups and occasional false alarms from the detection are a bit annoying. overall, it does the job well and feels sturdy. would i recommend it? sure, with a heads-up on those minor issues. :)
- Pros: from what i feel, the video quality is very sharp, making it easy to spot details like license plates or my dog playing in the yard. i liked that i can add more cameras later without hassle, and the night vision works well even in complete darkness. the two-way audio is handy for talking to visitors without opening the door, and the weatherproof build has held up through rain. storage is generous with the included drive, and i appreciate being able to access everything remotely from my phone.
- Cons: on the downside, the setup was a bit tricky at first, and i had some issues with the wireless connection dropping occasionally, which can be frustrating. the human detection isn't perfect—it still picks up animals sometimes, leading to false alerts. also, the app could be more intuitive; it took me a while to figure out all the features.
