as a dad with a busy household, i was looking for something to help with security without going overboard. the problem was not knowing who was at the door without getting up, especially with the kids making a racket. this thing solved it by letting me chat from the couch or even another room. it's not perfect—the sound could be better, and it's not for serious threats—but for the price and ease, it's a good solution. takeaway: it adds a nice layer of convenience and peace of mind :)
