I picked this up from the store for a good price, thinking it would be a smart buy for keeping an eye on the front door. As a healthcare worker, I value reliability, but this thing has been a letdown. Compared to other options I've seen, it's just not up to par. The two-way chat feature is spotty—I tried talking to a delivery person, and it was all garbled, not what I expected. Night vision works okay, but the delays in notifications mean I miss things. For a budget-conscious person like me, it's not worth the hassle. I'd say skip this one unless you're okay with constant issues. :)
- Pros: It was quite easy to set up without any wires, just plugged it in and connected to my home network, which was convenient. The video quality is decent during the day, showing clear images, and it works in the dark too, which is helpful for security.
- Cons: The alerts come through late sometimes, making it useless for real-time use, and the sound during calls is often muffled or cuts out, so conversations are frustrating. It feels flimsy and didn't hold up well in the rain as it seemed to me, and the battery life is poor, needing frequent charges.
