Before I got this I had a basic doorbell that just rang and I had to get up to see who was there which was a hassle especially after long shifts at work. Now with this thing I can check on my door from my couch or even when Im out and about which feels safer. The sound is clear for chatting with delivery people and it blends in with my home repairs vibe. Its not perfect but for the price it does the job fairly well and gives me peace of mind without breaking the bank.
- Pros: The picture is fairly sharp so I can see who is at the door clearly from what I feel and it connects to my phone easily without wires which is handy for a DIY guy like me. I like that it alerts me to movement and lets me talk to visitors from anywhere which is a big step up from my old setup.
- Cons: It sometimes picks up small things like leaves moving which can be annoying and the battery life is so-so needing more frequent charges than I expected. The setup was a bit tricky for a beginner like me and it doesnt always play nice with my other devices from what I feel.
