i expected this to be a simple way to keep my bike safe without spending a lot, and for the most part, it delivers. as a builder, i appreciate things that just work, and this does its job well—it senses movement and makes a racket. my wife and i have a dog, and it hasn't bothered him, which is nice. but in reality, it's not foolproof; if someone really wants to steal my ride, this might not be enough. still, for the price, it's a solid choice and gives me some peace of mind when i park around town. :)
- Pros: it's pretty good at making a loud noise that scares off anyone messing with my bike, and i like how it works without any wires, so i can turn it on or off from my pocket. the thing stays on even when it rains, which is a big plus here in san jose where the weather can be unpredictable.
- Cons: the sound is quite jarring and might annoy neighbors if it goes off by accident, and it most likely won't stop a determined thief, just alert people. i wish it was a bit easier to set up or had more options for sensitivity.
