so, why did i buy these? as someone who enjoys diy and repairs, i wanted something reliable and simple to integrate into my smart home setup. how do they perform? overall, they do the job—i can turn them on and off with my voice or phone, which is handy. but are they perfect? not quite; i've had moments where they didn't respond, and it's a bit disappointing for the price. would i recommend them? yes, with the caveat that you might need patience. they're a decent choice for a budget-conscious person like me, but don't expect flawless performance all the time. :)
- Pros: quite easy to set up with my home network, and they work well with my voice assistant, letting me control the lights hands-free. i appreciate that they use less energy than older bulbs, which helps with my electricity bills, and the light is bright enough for my needs.
- Cons: from what i feel, they can be a bit finicky with the connection sometimes, dropping off the network unexpectedly, which is frustrating when i'm in the middle of something. also, the initial pairing process had a hiccup or two, requiring a reset.
