I bought this expecting a simple way to modernize my home without a lot of hassle, and the reality is it delivered exactly that. I'm a competent user with multiple degrees, so I appreciate things that just work reliably, and this fits right into my daily routine. It's become part of my reliable everyday gear, helping me manage things even when I'm out cycling. The integration with my smart home setup was seamless, and I love being able to adjust the temperature before I get back from a ride. It's extremely helpful and has made my home feel a bit more magical, just as promised :)
- Pros: It was extremely easy to set up and connected to my home network without any fuss. I can control my air conditioner and other devices from anywhere using my phone or by speaking to my voice assistant, which makes life much more convenient. It works with nearly all my old infrared gadgets, so I didn't have to replace anything.
- Cons: As it seemed to me, it relies heavily on a stable internet connection, so if the WiFi drops, it becomes useless until it's back online. Also, while it's compatible with many things, I had a bit of trouble getting it to recognize one of my older fans, but that might just be my specific case.
