as a budget-conscious person, i bought this hoping to add some fun lighting to my home without spending a lot. my expectation was that it would be a simple, effective way to jazz things up, but the reality is a bit mixed. it does what it says for the most part—easy to install, works with voice control, and the color options are fun. however, it falls short in brightness and reliability. i've used it for a couple of weeks now, and while it's decent for small areas like behind my tv or on a shelf, i wouldn't rely on it for a big room. overall, it's okay for the price, but not amazing. :)
- Pros: i expected it to be a hassle, but setting it up was extremely easy with the usb power, no need for any special tools or skills. the colors are vibrant and change smoothly, which is nice for creating different atmospheres in my small apartment. being able to control it with voice commands through my smart home setup is a big plus, as it saves me from getting up all the time.
- Cons: from what i feel, the light isn't as bright as i hoped it would be for larger spaces, so it's so-so for anything beyond a cozy corner. the app can be a bit glitchy sometimes, making it frustrating when i just want to adjust things quickly. also, the adhesive isn't the strongest, so it might not stay put on certain surfaces without extra help.
