I bought this MALITAI bulb hoping it would be a good deal for adding some fun lighting to our home especially with multiple kids and pets. I expected it to be a simple way to enhance the atmosphere without spending a lot. In reality it does the job but I am extremely disappointed with the performance. The setup was straightforward and I liked that I could control it remotely but the Wi-Fi connection is not stable it often disconnects and I have to fiddle with it which is frustrating. The color options are broad but they dont look as rich or bright as I had hoped based on similar options I have seen. For the price I paid I thought it would be better but it feels like a budget choice that cuts corners. It works for basic use but I would not recommend it for anyone looking for reliability or high quality. I have only had it for a couple of weeks so maybe it will improve but from what I feel it is not worth the hassle.
- Pros: The bulb fits perfectly in my existing fixtures and was extremely easy to install without any tools. I can change the color to anything I want from my phone without getting up which is great for setting different moods in the room. It works well with my other smart home devices making everything more convenient.
- Cons: From what I feel the connection can be a bit unreliable sometimes dropping out and needing a reset. The colors are not as vibrant as I expected compared to some other bulbs I have tried. It feels a bit cheaply made and I am worried about its longevity especially with kids and pets around.
