so, why did i get this thing? well, as someone who travels a lot and stays in different places, i wanted to avoid those surprise hot or cold showers that can ruin a morning. it seemed like a simple solution, and workmanship has a decent rep. after using it for a couple of months, it's okay—not amazing, not terrible. it does what it says: shows the temp and is waterproof. but is it worth it? in the same price range, there might be better options that update faster or last longer on batteries. it saved me from a few scalds, but i've had moments where i wished it was quicker. overall, it's functional but could be improved. i'd say it's a middling buy—does the job but don't expect miracles.
