so, why did i buy this? as a gift for my partner who's always cold in our home office, i thought this would be perfect. but after using it for a couple of months, i'm a bit disappointed. it does heat the room well, no doubt, and the fact that it works without power is a lifesaver during those texas storms. however, the noise level is noticeable, especially when i'm trying to focus on coding or gaming, and the thermostat seems to have a mind of its own—sometimes it feels too warm, other times not enough. compared to other heaters i've owned, this one falls short in terms of quiet operation and precise control. on the plus side, the even heat distribution is nice, and the installation was straightforward. but overall, for the money, i expected better performance and reliability. it gets the job done, but not without some annoyances. :)
- Pros: it seems quite effective at warming up a medium-sized room quickly, and i like that it doesn't need electricity to run, which is handy during outages. the heat spreads evenly without hot spots, and being able to adjust the warmth level easily is a plus. mounting options are flexible too, so it can fit in different spots.
- Cons: unfortunately, it feels a bit loud when operating, and the thermostat control isn't as precise as i'd hoped—it seems to fluctuate more than expected. also, the safety features, while present, don't inspire full confidence, and the build quality could be sturdier for the price. it's not as efficient as some other options i've tried.
