Amazing-duoqiao Ultrasonic Distance Sensor: UART controlled
Available Options

Meet the Ultrasonic Distance Sensor—your go-to gadget for nailing those distance measurements with pinpoint accuracy. Whether you're tinkering with robotics or just love a good DIY project, this little powerhouse covers a sweet spot from 3-450 cm. And guess what? It's UART controlled, so plugging it into your setup is a breeze (no PhD required). Plus, its waterproof design means it won't throw in the towel when things get a bit wet. Running on DC 3.3V-5V, it plays nice with almost anything in your tech arsenal.
Why you'll love it:
- Dead-on accurate measurements—because guessing is so last year.
- UART interface? More like 'easy-peasy' interface.
- Waterproof: because rain shouldn't stop your fun.
- Flexible power needs? Check. It's not picky.

so i got this for some diy stuff around the house and my engineering projects, and at first i was skeptical because it seemed too good to be true, right? but after using it for a bit, it grew on me—the setup was a breeze, no complicated wiring or anything, which is nice since i'm always short on time, and it handles moisture well, which is a plus for colorado weather, but honestly, the measurements can be off sometimes, like when i'm trying to gauge distances for my cooking experiments or building things, it's not always precise, and that bugs me a lot, given my background, i expected better, but for the price, it's okay i guess, not the worst but not amazing either, most likely i'll keep it for simpler tasks
- Pros: it grew on me with how easy it was to connect to my projects without needing special skills, and i liked that it works in wet conditions without failing, which is great for my outdoor tinkering
- Cons: i was very disappointed that the accuracy isn't as dead-on as promised, especially at longer distances, and it feels a bit flimsy for something i rely on in my work
