So I got this Tapo thing a couple months back and I was skeptical at first you know me always thinking these gadgets are a waste of money but my son convinced me to try it out and I have to say it's impressed me a lot. Why did I buy it well the house was getting messy with my grandson running around and I hate vacuuming myself so this seemed like a good bet. How does it perform it sucks up dirt like a dream honestly I was shocked at how clean the floors look and the self emptying dock is a game changer no more dumping dust every day. The navigation is spot on it zips around without bumping into things and remembers where it's been which is brilliant for a multi level house like mine. I can set zones to keep it out of certain rooms which is great for when the little one is playing. The mopping is okay but not perfect sometimes it leaves wet patches but it's manageable. Maintenance is easy just wash the cloth and replace the filter now and then. Is it worth the money yes definitely for the convenience though I wish it was a bit cheaper but hey you get what you pay for. Would I recommend it yes with some reservations but overall it's a solid helper around the house.
- Pros: It picks up everything incredibly well from crumbs to pet hair and the dock empties itself which is a huge relief for me no more messy hands and it maps the house perfectly never getting lost even on different floors and I can control it with my voice which is dead handy and the battery lasts ages so it cleans the whole place without stopping
- Cons: The mop could be better as it sometimes leaves streaks and the app setup was a bit fiddly at first took me a while to get it right and it struggles a bit with higher thresholds in my home but overall not a dealbreaker
