Decision:

When I first got this, I was pretty excited—it seemed like a cool upgrade for our home. As a student on a tight budget, I had high hopes for something that would make daily chores easier. The hands-free opening is great for keeping things sanitary, especially after messy meals, and the design is modern enough that my wife didn't complain about it cluttering up our space. But after using it for a couple of weeks, I started noticing some quirks. The UV light is neat in theory, but I'm not sure it's doing much beyond looking fancy, and sometimes the sensor doesn't pick up my hand right away, which is annoying when I'm in a rush. Overall, it's helpful and does its job well, but it's not perfect. I'd recommend it if you're looking for a stylish bin with some smart features, but maybe wait for a sale—it's a bit too expensive for what you get. 😅

• Pros: I really liked how it opens with just a wave of my hand, which feels super convenient and keeps things cleaner by not having to touch anything. The light inside that helps reduce germs is a nice touch, and it holds a good amount of trash without looking out of place in my kitchen. It's sleek and blends in well with my decor, which I appreciate since it doesn't scream 'trash can'.
• Cons: From what I feel, the light feature might be a bit too gimmicky and not as effective as I hoped, and the automatic opening can be a bit slow or unresponsive at times. It's also a bit pricey for what it does, which didn't sit well with my budget, and the capacity, while decent, could be larger for a family like mine.
