As it seemed to me, this QHECTTY kit was just what the doctor ordered for a STEM-focused gift, but it fell short in a few areas. Why did I buy it? I wanted something educational and fun for my grandchild. What did I like? The variety of models and the interactive features were highlights. What didn't I like? The app's unreliability and the occasional confusion with instructions dampened the experience. Would I recommend it? With reservations, as it's good but not perfect for the cost.
- Pros: The kit allows for building three different models, which kept my grandchild engaged for a good while. The remote control was straightforward to use, and the sounds and lights added a fun element that made the creations feel more alive. It seemed durable enough for regular play, and the battery lasted a decent amount of time on a single charge, which was super convenient.
- Cons: I found the app a bit tricky to navigate, and it didn't always respond as expected, which was frustrating. The building instructions could have been clearer in some parts, leading to a few mix-ups during assembly.
