i bought this hoping it'd be a good deal for my solar setup, being ex-military, i like things that last. at first, it seemed okay, kept the battery charged without issues, and the setup was simple, just plugged it in. but after a couple weeks, i noticed it struggling when the sun's really beating down here in san antonio. it gets hot and starts to glitch, not holding up like it should. from what i feel, it's not very reliable for long-term use, and it just doesn't deliver on the promises. i'm into photo and video stuff, so i need dependable gear, and this falls short. wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for something solid.
- Pros: long story short, it does keep my battery from getting fried, which is a relief. from what i feel, it's very easy to set up, no headaches there, and it works with the battery i have.
- Cons: but man, it's not as tough as they say—already acting up in the texas heat, and it doesn't handle my setup well, feels cheap. very disappointed, expected better for the price.
