I bought this Verilux lamp hoping it would be the perfect addition to my home office, especially since I work long hours as a software developer and value good lighting. The packaging was intact when it arrived, and I set it up right away. At first, I was impressed by how bright it is—it really illuminates my desk well and makes everything look vibrant, almost like natural light. The flexible neck is handy; I can adjust it easily for reading or working on projects, and it holds its position without drooping. It does help with eye strain during those late-night coding marathons, which is a plus. But after using it for a couple of weeks, I started noticing issues. The touch controls are inconsistent; sometimes I have to tap multiple times to change settings, which is frustrating. For the price, I expected better build quality—it feels a bit cheap and wobbly, not matching the modern aesthetic I was going for in my stylish home. The limited adjustment options mean I can't fine-tune the light as much as I'd like, leaving me a bit disappointed. Overall, it's functional but falls short of my high standards. :)
- Pros: The light is extremely bright and makes colors look very true, which is great for seeing details. I liked how it bends and stays in place, so I can direct it exactly where needed. It also seems to reduce eye strain a bit, making it comfortable for long sessions.
- Cons: As it seemed to me, the touch controls can be a bit finicky and not always responsive, which is disappointing for something that should be easy to use.
